By their very nature, trout are High Country fish. The High Country Fly Fisher comes across two types of fish- native and non-native. All trout are native to somewhere, they simply may not be native to wear you choose to fish. Native fish are rare gems found in remote and for the most part isolated areas. They  survived early fish plants due to their remoteness or natural barriers which kept non- native fish at bay. The three most commonly found fish in the high country are the Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout. The rarest fish is the Piute Cutthroat Trout. See the profiles below for more.....
